The Department of Corrections will expand broadband services as the State looks to expand mental and behavioral health treatment for offenders in the system. The pilot project will support the purchase and installation of single mode fiber, switches, patch panels, licenses, and Wi-Fi widgets at both the Sterling and Limon Correctional Facilities which enables the DOC to expand telehealth services and include behavioral health access. Additionally, the improvements to broadband provide an opportunity for other support services to better meet the social, health, and educational needs.
