The Global Energy Park (Glo Park) is a modern, clean, and renewable energy research and innovation campus located near the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). It aims to foster collaboration among industry, government, and researchers to develop sustainable energy fixes. The park offers purpose-built laboratory and office spaces, a data center, and networking opportunities with NREL and other partners. It also features green amenities like nature trails, an outdoor event space, and a walkable, bikeable campus.
The campus will consist of two parts. The North Campus, housing established leaders in clean energy. And, the South Campus, serving as a hub for startups and business. The park's design has a focus on community access, educational trails, and open spaces to engage the public in clean energy technology and careers.
Glo Park's mission is to address global energy challenges and fight climate change by bringing together national and global energy scientists, researchers, government and business leaders. The goal is to make technology fixes that can be copied worldwide. And, to support the nation's clean energy goals while creating job opportunities and addressing environmental and climate impacts on disadvantaged communities.
