DHR Emergency Rulemaking Effective 5/15/22

The State Personnel Director has issued emergency rules to modify the Director’s Procedures found at 4 CCR 801-1, Chapter 5, Time Off.

This emergency rulemaking aligns the Director's Procedures with the state personnel system’s Paid Family Medical Leave (PFML) policies created by the State Personnel Director under the authority of §24-50-104(1)(g), C.R.S., and becomes effective May 15, 2022.  Pursuant to the Administrative Procedures Act, §24-4-103(6), C.R.S. an emergency rule can only be in effect for a maximum of 120 days.

2021 State of Colorado Employee Engagement Survey Results

April 11, 2022 - The 2021 Employee Engagement Survey asked state employees to provide their candid opinions on important workforce characteristics to gain a clear understanding of our current state as an employer. We know that highly engaged teams are passionate about their work, accomplish more than other groups, and consistently deliver the best business outcomes. Results from the survey will be used to help the State of Colorado move in the direction of creating a better place to work for all employees and becoming an Employer of Choice.

Governor Celebrates State Employees

Governor recognizes State employees for their public service

Denver — Governor Jared Polis and DPA Executive Director Kara Veitch recognized 40 state employees for their service to the people of Colorado during 2020 and 2021. The lunch at the Governor's Mansion on Thursday, August 12, 2021 was part of Public Service Recognition Week.

OAC Emergency & Permanent Rulemaking – LEP Individuals

The general purpose of this emergency rulemaking is to modify 1 CCR 104-3, Rule 21 regarding Procedural Rules for Workers’ Compensation Hearings, specifically for limited English proficient (LEP) Individuals, and bridge the time gap to the promulgation of permanent rules.

State government offices in Denver area will be closed Monday

DENVER — State of Colorado government offices in Denver and surrounding suburban counties will be closed on Monday, March 15, due to extreme weather conditions. 

Snow will continue throughout the day and into the night, and Coloradans are strongly encouraged to avoid Sunday night travel unless absolutely necessary.
